Potential restoration projects are identified by assessments and field work, ofte in collaboration with our partners. The Orleans County NRCD's Riparian Lands Progam Manager can work to develop, design and implement riparian restortaion projects, including applying for funding such as via the Trees for Streams program.

Our staff will manage riparian restoration projects with interested landowners and other stakeholders.

Typical projects include: tree and shrub plantings to establish vegetated buffers, streambank stabilization, culvert replacement, floodplain connectivity, and livestock exclusion.
